Master Shamanism
I am very excited to offer you an online one year Master Course in Shamanism. I am confident this course will deeply move you, widen your vision, help you relate to the seen and the unseen, and greatly increase your sense of connection to all life, particularly the natural world.
The root of Shamanism is the shaman’s ability to travel to the Spirit World on behalf of an individual or community to gain knowledge of what is needed to heal that person or community.
The experience of a shaman is one of leaving this realm and entering the place where everything that has or might happen is happening all at once. The shaman knows how to navigate this world and return with knowledge by going into a trance like state and fully leaving consciousness of this realm.
This root cannot be taught. It is in your bloodline or your life leads you to it.
However, many of the other aspects of Shamanism can be taught. Information about spirit guides, your soul’s path, listening to your own voice, speaking your truth, taking the journey from head to heart, the lessons of the 4 directions, ancestral knowledge, lessons on death, and being present in your body, becoming tuned to the energetics of another body……many of these aspects can be taught and are in this course.
All of my teachers, from Lakota, to Costa Rican shaman to the shaman of The Reindeer People in Mongolia are earth- based teachers. Having taught this class in person to groups and individuals for several years, and online, I am confident that this online class will provide a strong community of learners for you. Although we are online, we will be embodied, present, emotionally open, and fully supportive of each student’s journey.
This course will challenge you to practice on your own between classes, keep a record of your experiences, and meet with the group monthly for 2 hours, as well as individually with me online one hour per month.
There will be a combination of reading, intellectual discussion, and practices in nature, regardless of the weather.
You must be highly self- motivated to take and benefit from this course. You must be able to set yourself goals and meet them, follow through even when the course is challenging, and also ask for what you need in terms of support.
Even when you might be asked to go outside of your comfort zone by being outside in winter, or walking at night, or laying in a stream, observing the tiniest of beings, or learning to listen to guided meditations.
You need to consciously decide to put aside a couple of hours weekly in order to fully benefit from this course. You can do most of these practices whether you are on vacation, whatever country you may be in, and work around your ordinary schedule. But please be clear that you will only really experience the benefits of this course by participating fully.
Practicalities
This course begins in April of 2024. Taught on Zoom. We meet for 2 hours on zoom once a month with a 10 minute break.
I meet with each student hourly once a month to have a consult.

This work is my life. I have been doing healing work since I was in my 30s, and I am now 73. My teachers were the real deal and I studied for 20 years. 13 with my first teacher and 7 with teachers in Costa Rica and Mongolia.
I am a strong personality. I am direct. I am grounded in these teachings. I am loving in the biggest sense of that word. And I want you to learn. I want you to learn, and become who you came here to be.
